Seat heated fuse...
Hi. Does anyone know whip here the heated seat fuse is on a 2003 blobeye wrx wagon. Can’t seem to find it as seat heater stopped working although the lights come on on the switch when turned on...any ideas🤔 |
There is a relay block next to the fuse board by the drivers right knee. Relay and 20A fuse are on it.
There is also a slow blow fuse (SBF2) in the main fuse box under the bonnet and fuse number 4 in the drivers right knee fuse board. https://ministrant-sponge.000webhost...ed%20seats.JPG https://ministrant-sponge.000webhost...ts%20fuses.JPG |
Thanks for your help.. |
Ok. I’ve found the fuse and all ok I’m guessing it’s the relay. But what one is it? There is 4 in a row on the left hand side of the fuse box in side the car by drivers knee.... |

You may have to turn the diagram around to get the correct orientation. https://ministrant-sponge.000webhost...ed%20seats.JPG This will aid in its location (you'll have to excuse the spelling mistakes :) ) https://ministrant-sponge.000webhost...4%20relays.JPG |
The 20amp fuse is good next to the relay, the sbf2 is fine under the bonnet ( looks ok?.it must be the relay , the lights on the switch illuminate when switched on so fuse must be good ..correct? So has to be relay. No relay clicks when the switches are switched on so again must be a faulty relay...and the relay part no is 82501D#C..correct? Sorry I don’t understand wiring diagrams... |

Could be a burnt contact in the switches, burnt contact in the switch plug, a broken wire between switch and heating element or a stuck thermal switch on the element. Below is current path for the bulbs to light https://ministrant-sponge.000webhost...r%20switch.JPG Switch part numbers RH 83075FA001; LH 83075FA011 You really need someone to check out the wiring with a multimeter to find where the problem lies |
Thx. Think I need to get it checked, don’t get it really. If I remove the 20amp fuse the lights don’t illuminate, so must be something around the switches as you said. Both seats are not working ... |
