Later modines Vs earlier
Just browsing on advanced automotives web site I noticed that the later modines seem much bigger (and more expensive) than the earlier ones.
I assume that means they'll be better at keeping oil at the right temperature, but just wondering if even a track day car could get away with the larger 2008+ modine instead of resorting to an air oil cooler. Less hoses, less chance of leaks, but are they up to removing enough heat at approx 400hp on track? |
Bump looking what oil Modine to use on my ej20 cdb 2.1

I never did find out, sadly.
Currently using an external oil cooler with a thermostatic sandwich plate, but that has its own issues. |
Bumping this thread again.
Anyone have any experience of the later modines, or indeed has anyone taken a hatch or later out on track without an external oil cooler, and not had oil temp issues? |
