2.5 top deck conversion
 

speaking with alan @ engine tuner and he has said that as part of my build i could have my block fitted with the top deck conversion which is done by a crygenic process. ive never heard of this modification before,has anybody had it done?

Would imagine he is talking about the Closed Deck Insert for the EJ25 crankcases.

nope.....my block already has the closed deck conversion

he says it fits around the top of the block

This is mine cant see any difference

different amount of holes but that's it. I will see what Alan says

cryogenics is a freezing process which give metals more stability so they don't alter much when really hot. Important to have a good base product to start with rather than fix something with the process.

so i have spoke with alan, yeah its the closed deck conversion which i already have so happy days
