Classic Impreza WRX MY00 Sigma

Hey there,

i have an My00 Impreza WRX GC8, so the Bad News are, I had an Crash and the Chassis is an Mess. I now Plan to move my Internals to a new Classic Impreza, but I have one of these Sigma alarm systems.
Is there any posibility to deactivate the Alarm System completly? Can I may just move my ECU to the New Chassis and plug it to the Sigma in the new Chassis? The New Chassis will be an UK Spec again, has anyone made Experience with this Sort of Exchange?

Thanks in Advance
David

I'm not sure about the alarm, but the ECU in MY99/00 cars is 'plug and play'. You can move it to another car without any need for reprogramming of keys to the ecu/alarm.

You say your car is a WRX - does this mean it is an import from Japan (a Japan Domestic Market car) ??

Oh - and welcome … :)

Won't your new UK car have an ECU ? (just leave the UK ecu in.....)

The problem is, it will may be an My96 or MY97, I will take the Chassis i can have when it is at least an MY96

No its an GT, i was not sure if it is called GT in UK too, so i would to make sure. :)

Thanks for the welcome :)

I would like to move the ECU to the new one if it`s an older Chassis, thats something I can't say at the Moment in Germany the Market for GTs is a little Strange at the Moment :D

If it is an earlier car the keys/alarm will need the be coded to the ECU : it is only the MY99/00 ecu's that are 'plug and play'

The European GT in the same as the UK turbo car
