New member thinking about buying a 2003 Forster with an issue

Hello All

New here; based in the UK

As you can see I'm thinking about buying a Forester (2.0 petrol, manual, 2003)

My mum, bother and uncle have all had good experiences with theirs, so . . . .

Only issue with the one I've been offered (108k miles, £400) is that the diver's window doesn't work and is stuck about 2" open -- seller says it needs a new fuse but all the other electric windows work fine.

So: what to do? Buy it? Or no?

THANKS

if its only a fuse then yeah buy it, take the correct fuse with you and try it-if it isnt the fuse then offer less money.

worst case is it needs a new motor/switch which wont be mega £ anyway.

Thanks! Looks like you're not far from me in the Midlands.

Anything else I should check out or be warned about? It's had its cam belt done.

THANKS

Thanks. Will do.

Tyres looked good but I think on the AWD system they all have to be pretty much the same??

MOT, panels etc all OK.

You know I think I might just buy it!

I've a 2002 Forester Sport with 56k miles on the clock... it's great.

It's nice sitting that bit higher up than in the Hatch STi 330s lol

Hi, sorry no I passed on it. I think the tax / insurance / mpg was more than I'd bargained for. Will look out for one in future, or maybe an Outback.

I think you'll find an outback will be more than £400 to purchase.
