Thinking of buying 2005 WRX 300

Hello,

I've been looking for a classic, but it seems I've left it too late as anything that isn't a rot box is now out of my price range. I had a look at this at the weekend, as it's local.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/subaru-im...1ad9%7Ciid%3A1

I liked it a lot, it seems better than in the pictures, and felt really good. I know it has a few issues that need to be sorted, but I just wanted to know what people think?

Last thing is the UK300 stickers. Do you think someone has just put these on after a respray? Everything else looks good to a WRX 300.

says no engine modifications............they must come standard with a cheap ****ty baileys type dump valve then.

im pretty sure thats the wrong spoiler aswell, looks to belong to a classic and looks awful on a newage. im not even sure that the wrx 300 was available in the blobeye version but i could be wrong.

save your money and buy an sti either bugeye prodrive or blobeye

I'm not 100 % that is a 300 , its deffo not the right spoiler . they did do a blob eye 300 . id wait or do as shreksta says :)

Spoiler is for a Bugeye, Cheapo one, classics are completely flat across the bottom.

Interior is correct. It should have had 2 cam belts by now. Wrong spoiler. Wrong wheels. Wrong console badge.

Aren't the wheels the optional 18" ones but painted black?

It's had it's cambelt done recently (I checked the invoice), it seems well looked after but needs tiding up. I would prefer a STI but this one is cheap and available locally. I'm still thinking about it but I am listening to you guys too, still on the fence

Nope, they're not PFF7's. They look more like ultralite or other cheapo wheels

the cars a mish mash. looks to be a wrx 300 but has been badged as a uk 300. part of the logo on the seats are missing and as said rear spoiler is a wrong un. if its cheap you could buy it an try and return it to origonal spec as they are a limited edition car.

What would be a reasonable price? And where can I buy the side badge, and later on the wheels?

I have a completely standard 2005 WRX300.

items that are not standard on that (just by looking at pics) - rear spoiler, wheels, rear diffuser, exhaust, side badges, front splitter, dump valve, strut brace, front Subaru badge, uk300 sticker on interior, mudflaps, floor mats.

Wouldn't take much to get it back to standard. Prices vary between £4000 and there is one on autotrader for £8500

The side badges will be main dealer or ebay. The standard wheels are the same as a WRX but sprayed gold. good look finding a decent prodrive exhaust system.

At that age it should be heading toward a third cambelt change.
Cheap PFF7 replicas.
