Also getting Turbo Dynamics to fit an uprated actuator at the same time to help boost control and hopefully to hold upper boost levels better.

How long will they have th turbo bud |

Raggy sold me a HKS actuator, as the twinscroll actuator often struggles to control boost. It transformed the car
|
Lovley hks one too |
I asked Turbo Dynamics if it was a forge actuator they supply as an uprated unit and they interesting said they don't and people should stay away from forge units as they've found them to be very notchy and uneven meaning uneven boost control.
The standard SC42 actuator is a 1 bar unit and they said it will struggle above 1.6-1.7 bar so I'm having their own 1.2 bar actuator fitted which will help to push more evenly up to 2 bar if requured. |
So that's it, last few parts required for build now on order with Alyn @ AS. Job done!!!! :D

twin maps launch control anti-lag pops and bangs flat foot shifting etc etc or just a standard remap? |

great news buddy i bet your well excited, what sort of map are you going for? ecutek/racerom etc
twin maps launch control anti-lag pops and bangs flat foot shifting etc etc or just a standard remap? I would get multi or twin maps so that it could be put into a lower safer spec for garage work etc plus a few pops and bangs. I have 3 options, open source as it's currently running, Ecutek or Syvecs which it's run before. Still undecided currently. |
would you consider an E85 / flex fuel setup? Or just want to go for normal pump maps?

So today I ordered: Perrin fuel pressure regulator kit Injector Dynamics ID1050 injectors and adaptors Exhaust headers and up-pipe gasketsFew other bits I've forgotten toi. :) Need to make a list. :D |
Splashing the cash matey folk don’t understand how much is involved when you go up another level just so many pieces of the jigsaw puzzle when do you hope to fit all this on ? |
Tell me about it buddy. That lot was another 」850 spent this morning and I'm still not done. Considering the forged engine was done before I bought the car I've already spent nearly 」10k on this thing in the few months I've owned it. It just mounts up and there really is no point cutting corners. I'd rather it was done correctly first time.
|
I'm hoping to get all the bits fitted February as soon as I'm ready. The powder coaters are still trying to source special red textured powder to match the Perrin bits. Not sure how long that's going to take still.

Will you need to get the injectors flow tested or what they call it or will they be done mate? Ready to plug and play and map? |

Also got a new set of NGK hear 7 plugs coming from AS Performance as I wasn't sure what's in the car already. I think it had a brand new set 5k ago when it was rebuilt, but better safe than sorry.

No worries. Scooby Clinic offered to de-cap my current injectors and flow test them which will make them around 850cc. The more I thought about it the safer and easier it was to just buy brand new ones. There was no guarantee the Scooby Clinic modified ones would be fully matched and they were still using old injectors. Also if you take into account the labour for modifying and testing them it made sense to buy new too.
excellent choice totally agree with you there there痴 nothing worse than a melted piston or cutting corners has to be done right first time round |

Just as I thought my spending was tailing off.... I picked this brand new kit up today. K&N Typhoon induction kit for 2015+ STI.

It will require some slight tweaking to get it to fit with the FMIC pipes and I'll have to remake the shield so that it suits the pipes and filter etc but should be worth it. Garage is getting full, want my work bench back now. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...661a47c9bc.jpg |
Oh and in bigger news, I might be going down the Syvecs route now. :)

Haha. Stop it. You're a bar influence. I'm desperately trying to cut spending now and let my bank manager take a holiday. :)
