2005 Impreza Lost keys help

Had the grandkids around over weekend (1+2yrs old) and now my bloody keys have gone missing.
Looked everywhere (even in the bins) anyway they are not to be found :-(

I have a spare but it has no "fob" for the alarm, its just a normal key (its not an original subaru key)
I am now having to start the car using the key and the pin keypad in the dashboard.
I have to enter the pin number to lock the car (with me inside) then enter the pin again to disable the alarm so i can start it using the spare key.
The spare key wont even lock the car it will only unlock it....

where/how do i go about getting a replacement key with a fob? Can i program one myself if i bought a "blank" from somewhere like ebay?

Hoping you guys can help me out as i'm sick of looking like a dodgy bloke with my alarm bleeping whilst i'm disarming/arming my alarm on the car park.
Plus i can't even lock my car using the key i have :-(

Have you checked in all of your shoes? I have a 1 & 3yr old and they are great at hiding stuff.
best bet is pick a room and from the height they can reach check everything. Even the hooks that hold curtain ties

My 2 were playing with my tomtom sports watch, having a rubber strap I let the smaller one chew it to help with her teething.
it was gone one minute and I asked my eldest where it’s gone and he replied she ate it.

like you I did the bins, the endless toys and every pocket.

in the end I literally searched every knook and cranny in every room and it was in the gap at the bottom of the stand that the sink sits on. (Curved shaped base)

how they managed to get it in there is beyond me and I wish I had found it before going down the bin full of dog poo 🤢
