Clunking from near side rear.

iv just purchased a 2004 Impreza sti jdm widetrack.

There is a clonk noise as I pull away from near side rear. If I stop and engage reverse and start to move it does it again.

Also whilst driving if I’m on and off the throttle it does it.

Cars been on the ramp to check ball joints, bushes bearings etc and nothing obvious was found, only if you turn the neRside rear wheel it takes a while before opposite side starts to turn.

it has been suggested that it could be driveshaft.

Anyone had a similar sounding g issue?

thanks

Could be a few things, common are the T frame diff bushes.
This position.

It’s weird as it sounds like a top mount as can hear quite well from inside car and does sound like from that area.

It looks like play in both rear driveshafts, does anyone know how much movement there should between the shaft and the joint if in fact any at all?
