Problem with ford first
Hello all my wife's fiesta ended up in the sea when she got stuck in the sand tide came in and flooded the car. Managed to get it out and it started then died. However about 2 weeks later after drying it out all the electrics went haywire now have nothing on dash working.
things that work still are horn, interior lamp, hazards lights but not clicking , central locking, side lights when central locking is clicked. Other than that things are dead. I have checked all fuses and relays I have even changed ecu key transponder and clocks still nothing. But as soon as I feed the ignition switch with a live every thing lights up and works just won't turn over atal any help would be great I have checked every earth also |
What powers the ign switch |
Mate had peugout similar experience, twice , once the air intake second time ecu Once it's in the loom is a right off |
Fords used to have a issue where a solid link in the fuse box burnt out, if its been submerged, it may be worth looking inside the fuse box, or at least get ya tester in there and have a look.

Im going to try ignition switch tommorow and trace back the wire to the board **** bit is they aint plug and play there a solid fuse board if no avail will just count my loses and scrap it

Salt water and cars don't mix you may declare it dead for its only going to torture you.
