aem failsafe gauge lambda reading

gents, did any of you who have an aftermarket afr gauge join into the existing sensor in the exhaust or did you weld on a bung further down to have a second sensor?

thanks

There’s generally 2 approaches:
weld in bung just after the bend in the dump pipe...
or delete the rear o2 sensor at the end of the dump and adapt the loom to enable wbo2 logging via the ecu.

whilst some wbo2 kits can be used in place of the stock narrow band sensor, this approach is incompatible with the stock ecu, as far as I remember.

generally any wbo2 sensor should be installed around 100cm from the exhaust ports and at least 10 degrees over horizontal to prevent shock from pooled condensation.
