anyone know how to fold down the rear seats on an STI V??
Need to get rid of those pish addzest speakers!!! ta |
on the type R the rear seats dont fold at all, im not sure, but i think its the same for the 4 door
|
BKS, what are you trying to do ?????
To remove the back speakers youve got to remove the back seat both sections...the bottom first and then the back, then remove the trim around the side window and then remove the back shelf trim, you will now be able to remove the speekers ?? I think thats what your trying to do anyway :) as even on Scoobys that have fold down rear seats you cant get to the speakers with out removing the seats. The rear seats on my sti ra my99 most definately do not fold down. Unless there is one hell of an accident and then it won't matter much anyway!

My STiV seats dont fold either :D
|
Neither do my 4 door MY98 WRX back seats... Think the UK cars seats did though on Scoobies of the same year (could be wrong though).
|
My STi5 TypeRA V-Limited :D seats dont fold down either! Phew, it's a real one. :D LOL
|
cheers for the advice.
I wanna get rid of the speakers and put in some 6 by 9's. Sounds like hard work though. Think i'll get someone else to do it as cant bare the thought of destroying me motor! Armed with a spanner and a scooby, all sorts of funky sh1t could happen! |
This is clearly the only reason to buy an UK car - rear seat foldability! Annoyingly my STi V rear seats wont budge - but then that clearly adds to chassis rigidity ;)
|
The reat seats on my MY98 Terzo don't fold either. :D

Does any 4 door Scooby have folding back seats then? Though some did? Don't know why I care...?
|
Most UK Scoobs do, except RB5's, P1's and apparently, Turzo's....
|
UK STi7 rear seats don't fold.
|
old UK models pre bug eye had them, bug eye inc STi doesn't

folding seats allow the rear of a car to flex more therefore most cars produced for performance have a nonfolding rear seat.

solid rear bulkhead for rigidity, rather than space for sunday shoping at your local diy Store/bore! gets my vote.
I can't even spell shopping [Edited by wrxjoy - 6/17/2002 6:46:42 PM] |
