Tidgy 17 July 2018 09:18 PM

looks like its had some rough treatment at some point,

Date tested
5 June 2017
FAIL
Mileage
78,688 miles
MOT test number
5530 4477 7291
Test location
unavailable until further notice
Reason(s) for failure
Offside Headlamp not working on dipped beam (1.7.5a)
Offside Front position lamp(s) not working (1.1.A.3b)
Nearside Direction indicator incorrect colour (1.4.A.2f)
Offside Direction indicator incorrect colour (1.4.A.2f)
Offside Registration plate lamp not working (1.1.C.1d)
Windscreen washer provides insufficient washer liquid (8.2.3)
Offside Rear Wheel bolt(s) missing (4.2.A.1e)

big list of failure points always worries me as it shows a lack of maintenance.

A couple of bulbs is hardly the end of the world.

if you cant be bothered with a couple of bulbs what else cant you be bothered with? If it was a single bulb fair enough, but given its a whole list of issues it would make me more worried

ruislip 17 July 2018 09:36 PM

Hmmmmmm, agree bulbs not an issue but you got me worried now lol

Anger 17 July 2018 09:37 PM

Front dips play up a lot on blobs, normally a little tap on the light and they turn back on

Indicators wrong colour must have been a owner thing

i suspect clear lenses and silvertech bulbs, so looked wrong till they lit up

ruislip 17 July 2018 09:47 PM

Well apart from bulbs the owner will take, £8.6k.

However he has only had it 2 months which is a concern...

Tidgy 17 July 2018 09:49 PM

walk away. getting rid after 2 months and dropping it a grand would make me walk for sure.

Floyd 20 July 2018 01:54 PM

I'd ask the reason for selling so quickly. If it doesn't sound plausible then walk away. Car looks good in the advert, however.

Gambit 20 July 2018 02:12 PM

id go look at it if its within distance 1 failed MOT in all those years, and nothing really major imo

guy could have lost his job, have a family and mortage, selling the scooby would be a sensible option

stamina_daddy 21 July 2018 09:37 PM

Also not everyone gets on with them.
same for lots of cars, people see them, want them as they look the part, buy them then realise they just don't like it.
I found with my previous imprezas that just pootling around they felt pretty agricultural and only came alive when boosted which isn't for everyone especially the sti.

funkyrimpler 21 July 2018 11:12 PM

personally, i find the photoshopped pics infuriating and dishonest..Before i bought mine I saw perhaps 12 adverts with heavily photoshopped (falsified) pics..the cars i viewed looked unrecognisable in the flesh..colour saturation made the paint look brighter, soft contrast hid every blemish..Photoshopping alone is enough to annoy me...I even asked for honest warts and all pics from sellers but the failed to respond..That's because their cars were probably nails.
