4x new tyre recomdations

replacing all 4 tyres on my 2001 bugeye wrx, looking for some recommendations for a good allround tyre.

Michelin pilot sport 4
Grip like s**t wet or dry last ages too :thumb:

If you don't like how fast the bridgestones wear out then you certainly won't like Yokohama.

That said, I've used Yoko tyres now for years and loved them. Not always wonderful in the wet but super sticky in the dry. Best of both world IMO. :D

Recently got some Goodyear eagle f1s, wanted something with a slightly more compliant sidewall for rough roads. Very impressed with the grip so far in the dry not had a wet day yet!

I second the Goodyear brilliant in the dry and the wet. And I thought they were pretty cheap for a premium brand.

Took my Eagle f1's off after 3000 miles. Crap. Sidewall was far to soft and they were extra load.

Just got a set of Pilot Sport 4 fitted to my classic, excellent tyres!
PS4S are supposed to be even better.

Bridgestone RE070 for me always, they are amazing!

Were they on a hatch? Extra weight would make them a bit rolly. Found the extra compliance perfect on my spec c

PS4's or pilot super sports all day long mate.

I've run continentals (good but crap wear rate), Vredestein Sessantas (not a bad budget tyre but the replacement Vortis are terrible), Hankook Evo Ventus (budget tyre, not great at the limit), Goodyear Eagle F1's (overpriced for what they are but comparable to the Sessanta for me, poor water dispersal).

For an all rounder with the weather we get in the UK I think you'll be hard pushed to find a better performance tyre, and imo they're well worth the extra money they cost.
Shop around a bit, bizarrely F1 auto centres were the best price I could find about 4 months ago, £350 for a full set on 225/45 r17.

Cheers for the help, I've gone for the goodyears and so far so good. Great in the dry and got a good deal I think.
