Anyone know this RB5?

I haven't been on this site for quite some time and haven't owned a Subaru since about 2011 but I am looking at purchasing a classic at some point soon.

Upon trawling through ebay I noticed an RB5 reasonable local to me but apparently it is a Cat C so I was wondering if anyone was aware of it's history? Also a quick check on the DVLA says the car is blue, is that typical for RB5's?

Any help much appreciated.

If the usual arch/turret and sill rust has been prevented that looks like a nice example.
But it has to be one of the most oddly written adverts I've read. Good luck.

This was advertised last week too but didn't sell, last weeks advert was even more eccentrically written. I bet the seller is a right character.

yeah i've seen this one come and go..i just dismissed it...when adverts are poorly or vaguely written and the photos are either

a) carefully cropped (so as to avoid the worn seat bolster, drill holes in the centre console and 'exhibit A' on the back seat).

b) poorly or inconsiderately taken (ie: there's a chicken roosting in the air scoop and it's obscured by gatepost) or..

c) looks like a photoshopped Vogue magazine shoot on an industrial estate at night

None of this helps and speaks of, at best incompetence, or inflated opinion of the vehicle (read: not willing to haggle because he'd rather sell a lung) or worse, he's trying to hide a rotted out ticking timebomb that will explode and tear your face off financially and perhaps literally.

Being cat C, registered as a blue car and owned by someone with motorsport connections (motor cross rider) would make me a bit worried. I have always liked the RB5 model so if I was in the market for one I'd be tempted to go and see. I'd just take a sceptical friend and do a very careful inspection of the car and paperwork.

RB5's are blue steel 86f in colour

I figured that may be the case.
