Low entry ramps for Blob

Can anyone recommend some low entry ramps for a Blobeye? Mine is lowered ~25mm. My Bugeye is lowered the same but there is more clearance at the front as the bumper is shorter and angled up.

I don't want to buy any that won't fit so hopefully you'll have some suggestions!

Hiya mate, I also have a Blobeye, lowered about 20mm with a V Limited splitter fitted. I bought these a few years back, just gets up them with a few mm clearance! Not cheap, but it is what it is for long low angle ramps.

Ignore that price. They are normally about £150 delivered. Seller seems to have raised the price temporarily due to low stock possibly. Might be worth emailing them.

If you already have a set of standard ramps then all you need is about a meter of some timber, lay that on the 2nd or 3rd rung up and drive up,
I used a old fence post (cut into 2 x 1 mtr lengths), with a couple of hooks on one end of each, that hooks under the rung, just stops it bouncing when you drive down,
I find this easier for storage as well tbh, and weight for throwing around.

Goggle found these.

I bought that ebay one (well from MachineMart but it's the same) initially.

That's not going to work.

I made wood extenders for the Bug but they are too short and I don't have any spare wood to hand. Also, I figure I may as well get something more substantial if I am going to be using them regularly.

I think that I probably need to try and measure the angle of tyre to lip.

I can't get my trolley jack under the front either (beginning to wonder whether I should convert the front end to Bug....lol )

What are your front ride heights?

TECHNOPUG 07 June 2018 02:54 PM

Blob is 335mm with 225 tyres
Bug is 330mm with 215 tyres

Just to add, those ramps look too spindly for me to feel comfortable working under the car - are they definitely safe for the weight?

I have some more substantial ramps. I actually only bought the extenders but didn't read the ad properly and the ramps were included.
