Suzuki celerio
 

I'm selling MY 530D off and I'm looking at buying a cheap run around car. I won't park my van in many places for fear of getting broken into and I won't park my EVO in many places for the same sort of reasons so a cheap car is needed.

I saw the dealers say a new Suzuki Celerio was £119 down with 60 payments of £119. It's just over £7200 which I would just pay cash but are they worth even that price? I need something this small so I can get this and the EVO on the drive.

Would you buy one or is there some other nearly new car I should be looking at for similar price or cheaper? :)

I have a S Plate, Toyota Starlet I bought off a friend just over 12 months ago. Less than 50k genuine miles. The last service with new front discs, pads, oil filter, petrol filter and oil cost less than £60 all in.

It as been epic, does 320-340 miles to the tank, going fast or commuting, never broke down or let me down (except when I left the lights on and drained the battery). Pennies to insure, throw away cost, does the 25 mile daily commute with ease.

My ex's mother got a Suspect Celery for £99 then £99 for 60 months; try haggling.

Suzuki'a are good, reliable cars in general but when they go wrong, in my experience, a lot of parts are only available from a dealer. I'd put 50,000 miles onto my 56 plate Swift and stuff started to go wrong at 147,000 miles. Not easily changeable stuff either. Starter motor, sensors, generally stuff the local ECP didn't have which was a ball ache.

It went as repairs were starting to be £200-400 on a car worth aboit 600 quid.

Replaced it with a 58 plate Auris petrol. Brilliant(ly boring) car BUT ultra reliable and I'd park it anywhere. Plus every one let's you out or gives you space because they automatically think you're 900 years old (and gonna clout into them) driving a red Toyota :lol1:

Just saw one the other day. It's tiny! Looked ok though!
