Revs dropping when coming to a stop
I've got an issue with tick over when coming to a stop.
The car runs fine, ticks over fine when stationary but will sometimes dip below 400 rpm coming to a stop. I've cleaned MAF, IACV and checked for obvious loose pipework. Car is a 2005 Widetrack. Any help would be greatly received  |
I had exactly the same on an 05 wrx.
I never got to the bottom of it before I sold it. tried all sorts like you. I did some logging when I was driving it and what I found is although the needle looked like it dropped fairly low,the logging showed it only dropped slightly by the figures I got. I did post it up somewhere on here. but eventually I gave up. |

I had this on my 04wrx, two things helped I had the tick over set about 100rpm higher, and also I was getting lots of oil in the intercooler which would collect between the IC to throttle body pipe, then under breaking I think it got dumped into the throttle body which probably doesn't help at idle. Not had the problem since.

Mine never stalled.
I did a fair bit of searching and found a few cases but never a solution. mine was decatted and remapped . I used romraider and freesssm. as in my other thread I would do certain things and then for the initial drive it wouldn't do it but the next day it always returned. |
My car is remapped, and has a high flow sports cat on 3 inch system.
It does have a dump valve which is set to around 30% recirc and 70% vented. |
I had standard dump valve
