I specifically recall telling Andy not to plug his Leaf in to charge until the gas fueled power stations had come back on-line :lol1:

Anyway, it's comforting to know that we still have capacity when the gas supply suffers (for now).

Happy? ;):lol1:

At least they're trying https://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/...-drop-25-year/

The Uk is generating more and more electricity from renewable sources first time it hit 50% last year. Only to get larger supplies. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-40198567

Bus low emission tech is here now

https://www.lowcvp.org.uk/Hubs/leb/Home.htm

There are tax benefits for going ultra low emissions

https://www.gov.uk/government/latest...ssion-vehicles

It just general apathy, couldn't careless attitude. You and I will be forced to go ultra low/zero emission or be forced off the road.

precisely - in ten years time driving a high emission vehicle (C02 or NOX) will be like harking back to a 100 watt light bulb

the world moves forward

Remembering to recycle your CFL light bulbs properly of coarse, to prevent the release mercury into the environment.

The world moves in mysterious ways.............

I repair mine...they usually blow the PCB or protective fuse because a couple of 1N4007 diodes go short circuit.

Not this crap again :lol1: For starters people don’t tend to live near power stations (with the exception of Didcot and a small number of others). Then there’s the fact that the emissions per unit output are significantly lower for power stations.

Oh and that the uK doesn’t really use coal power anymore (unless it’s uncharacteristically cold)...

Just stuck a coal one in as a wind up.

But then try living here............

Lived around here all my life..........., son has move down to Berkshire can,t believe how nice it is,he especially loves the trees.:D

Might not be coal anymore but its the same old s*it, going to be burning all the waste Merseyside can dump here....all 390,000 tonnes of it.

But hey, enjoy your zero pollution cars to the full and don't mind us, we are used to having all the crap on our doorstep including the verble kind .:D
