Help/Info
Guys had a mind melt moment tonight and had the car sitting at the house with the handbrake off by mistake. Long story short it rolled forward at slow speed and struck a low wall (Height splitter roughly).
The impact has popped the bumper from the wing on the drivers side and removed the splitter. Its dark but I cannot align the bumper to the wing as its sitting 25mm forward. Does anyone have a how to remove the bumper guide? If I require a front bumper where is the best place to get one? "Hawkeye" Thanks for any help... At least no one hurt other than my pride. Cheers |
I am not sure about the age of your car , maybe this link if it works will help |
Thanks for the post I will have a look at this, sorry for the lack of information the car is a 2006 hawkeye STI UK. Thanks

Hi no problem , it may be the right clip then , i’m sure if not, there is something there to help , it may just need a bit of bending and heat and a tweek and possibly fit back on , the sooner you take the pressure off the bumper the better |
Thanks for this clip. Managed to remove the bumper tonight. Don't see any damage so fingers crossed for paint and replacement splitter.
Does anyone know of a good coachworks in Scotland, Glasgow/Edinburgh area. Willing to travel to get a good job, I heard Stuart Roden motors were good? Any recommendations appreciated. |
