K Sport big brake kit.....Who sells ?

As above who sells them ?
I am planning to fit the 8 pot 356mm kit and the 6 pot rears.
Looking for a good deal on the whole kit.
Does anyone have these fitted ?

SmurfyBhoy 23 March 2018 09:59 AM

I've had the 356mm K-Sports on since i bought the car and used EBC Orangestuff which is prob one of the cheaper pad options,

Can't fault them

My daily bug Sti still has the Brembos,

I would say the biggest benefit is the resistance to fade more than the outright stopping power.

Scoobyworx sell Fronts, never looked into rears

It’s outright stopping power I am after

If thats the case why not go with AP's?

Dave Y 23 March 2018 03:27 PM

i have AP,s on there now but only MM discs.

MM Discs?

Dave Y 23 March 2018 04:20 PM

Mickey Mouse.....waste of money. My fault i should have replaced with the real deal.

S744hdv 23 March 2018 04:34 PM

I'd just get some genuine discs, would be cheaper than a set of K Sport 8 pots.
And more pistons doesn't necessarily mean better stopping power.

Dave Y 23 March 2018 04:45 PM

i think that is the way i will go.

Jay Cartay 23 March 2018 05:13 PM

I've just bought some K-Sports and mate, no way in hell would I buy them over a set of 6 pot APs! Get the right discs, you'll be over the moon. Decent pads too.

Godspeed Brakes 23 March 2018 05:21 PM

Discs won't make a difference in stopping power , just reliability , it's the pads that are most important , get some good pads in your existing set up and they will work very well
Cheers Ian

I think i am going to upgrade to Ap four pot rears and alter the fronts to 356 mm discs.
I have knocked the K sport idea on the head.

Just fit one of AS Performances bespoke Alcon brake kits. JOB DONE!
I've had Oem brembos, ksports and AP's and the Alcons are streaks ahead

johnlogie 23 March 2018 11:18 PM

Cant comment about the rest but I’ve got 330 k sports and they are great. Nice on the road and good on track. Had k sport discs and ds2009 and now Godspeed discs and pf pads, not tried on track yet

Rough price Joe?
What spec did you run

Cheers
Frank

Hi frank your best bet is give Alyn a call 0191 4103770. There are many different calliper disk and pad combinations available. That was what I liked about what alyn put together for me, we just took the best of each component and didn't have to reside to whatever comes in kit form from the brake kit manufacturer.

I have used Alcon calipers before and in all honesty I prefer the AP's,i would say that they are probably on par with each other....personally I don't see the need to upgrade to another caliper if you are already rocking AP"s,just get a decent disc and pad combo and your good to go.SJ.

Dave Y 24 March 2018 12:51 PM

I have the CP7040 calipers on the front and Brembo two pot rears.
I am planning to go to CP9040 and AP 4 pot rears.
PF Z08 pads in the front

FranK RA 24 March 2018 01:43 PM

Been a while since I bought a set of pads. What are you guys using for fast road use these days.
And please don’t say phone Alyn...... I’m trying to do some homework first

Any recommendations for a good front pad for an 08 hatch bud ?. Thinking about changing mine in the near future. Currently have brembo calipers with brembo discs but hate the pads.
