Guide for drivetrain choices?
 

I am new to the Subaru world and I am looking for a guide for the different drivetrain components for strength and interchangability. Does anything like this this exist? Also looking for the same for the engines. I have been searching for a while before joining the forum, but I am not sure what terminology to use in order to find what I am looking for.

If there is a book, thread, website or anything else I would be very thankful.
