Buying a new or refurbed iMac?

I’m in the market for a new iMac. I’m looking at new, but also notice there are various companies offering refurbed models which are clearly older but would suit my needs. Would be around half the price and most come with one year warranty. Anyone have any experience of buying refurbed?

I bought a refurb directly from Apple, saved a few hundred quid. Lovely machine.

Only get year apple stuff anyway , so why bother new

( and even if the fault was there within warranty period , bad luck )

save a few hundred quid yet still more expensive and lower spec than a brand new PC.

pmsl, sorry not had a pop at apple all week and could resist lol

15k in that spec, pmsl,

can get a pc running twin cpu's and 256gb ram for that price.

do you really wanna go down that route of trying to claim you get a better spec of apple than pc for the same money again jack? you looked like a jackasss last time lol

No, I'm just laughing at you and your blanket claim that an iMac isn't powerful enough. You crack on with your supercomputing or more likely shooting imaginary people.

Much better, you should ask for a pay rise so you can be better at shooting imaginary people.

mgcvk 09 March 2018 08:41 PM

Our new/refurbed Mac should do so long as my Mrs can continue to book holidays and order stuff online from Next. If I can edit photos and look at dodgy websites - like this one :lol1: - then jobs a good ‘un!

JackClark 09 March 2018 09:57 PM

It’ll be great and won’t look like a slot machine and sound like an air conditioner.

The subject being "New or refurbed iMac" and your response being "buy a PC" time for you to wriggle again.

yep, why would any sensible person spend twice as much for half the performance?

JackClark 12 March 2018 06:14 PM

So they don't have to run Windows.
