Which impreza would you import from japan??
 

Looking at getting back into a scooby again, and being in the trade I have a contact who regularly imports direct from Japan. He has pretty much told me pick one and we'll get it. So with about £7000 what would you go for? Or what will i get for this sum?

Do you mean £7k auction price or registered and shipped to the uk?
Personally for that money I'd get a mint GC8 STI type RA. Then start the modding. Not sure you will get a type R for that money anymore.

Might just about squeeze a bugeye STI, but I doubt it’d be low miles or high grade.

The high Yen value, taxes and shipping costs mean you may be just as well to get something that’s here already. That’s what has killed the market for run of the mill stuff like JDM WRXs - too expensive to do.

i dont think you'd even get a bug sti at the min. need to up the budget

You won't get much for 7K in Japan now, nothing worth bringing over anyway.

I'm currently looking to and I'm affraid 7k will get your an early wrx landed over here now, prices have shot up so much lately , trouble I've found you can't seem to find a non rusty one over here so your forced to import.

I imported mine around 18 months ago and as already said 7k will not get you much if anything now
