2005 WRX300 same rear shocks as WRX?
I have a 2005 WRX300 with the common shock knock.
I have some new OE rear shock absorbers ready to fit but the current shocks have a larger piston diameter than the new boge shock absorbers. I am trying to get numbers off the old shocks with little success. The only thing i can think of is that there is possibly a difference between the shock absorbers on the WRX300 and a standard WRX. Any help would be helpful Craig |
I can’t comment on wrx, but when I changed them on my sti there is only really two types of strut, inverted and standard, the fronts are different on widetrack with 114.3 pcd though

The WRX300 brochure lists a suspension upgrade as a "Special Edition Accessory" available at extra cost

The later newage wrx had inverted struts (not the same inverted struts as the sti) - 39mm damper rod.

KYB don't make alternative, inverted, rear struts for the WRX. Other than those they make for Subaru, listed above.
They make replacement Ultra SR, inverted, rear struts for the STI: kyb 321004: 20360FE900 20360FE901 20360FE902 20360FE9029L kyb 321005: 20360FE910 20360FE911 20360FE912 20360FE9129L |
