YES :lol1:

sparkysx 21 February 2018 08:55 PM

that's just stupid. loads of old cars are getting priced at stupid money now. I have had quite a few novas in my time and they are selling for ridiculous money now, but they drive like **** compared to modern cars.

raz6589 21 February 2018 09:05 PM

Of course it is. You know it, I know it. Even they know it. Good luck to them. Lol.

chrispy200+ 21 February 2018 09:45 PM

All I will say is check out the mot history on it, may be low miles but it sounds rotten

Pross 21 February 2018 09:49 PM

Yea its gone from excessively corroded to slightly corroded in less than a mile.

ray54 21 February 2018 10:06 PM

RAF1 21 February 2018 11:01 PM

18 year old Impreza and the service book is showing only 6 services and they have the cheek to advertise it as '' Full Service History''.

I don't see the problem here?

205 GTI's and R5GTT's that are original, low miles and great condition are seeing big money. People are buying them. Why do you believe that a low miles and original Impreza won't do the same at some point? You should be happy!!!

hardcoreimpreza 22 February 2018 03:21 PM

Are you looking at this thread with your eyes closed?

1/ Its over priced. There's been a red one listed for a few months by a back street trader for £3999. With no sale so relisted at £3499. then sold. So its way over priced.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222848962...m=222848962981

2/ It originally sold on ebay for £4501.00, thats over its true value.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Im...p2047675.l2557

3/ Its sounds like a rot box. It failed its mot over a year ago on excessive rust, just looks like someone has cleaned it up abit,
but not resolved the problem. So your paying £10,000 for a restoration project.

Nope, I still don't see the issue. These appreciating 205's - some are super original and others are refurbished, but they still make big money. So what if you don't like this one, but someone else may like it and see it as a good buy for themselves. Then the average price of these classics will start to rise. Surely that's a good thing for all of us?

jaygsi 22 February 2018 05:24 PM

So your saying, because one back street trader has bought an Impreza for £4000. Then relisted it for £10,000 means all ours Impreza's are worth twice as much?

You can buy a P1 for £10,000 you know. A mint v6 STI for £6000. A mint wrx v1 v2 for £2500-£3000.

I drive past this garage every night coming home from work. Saw it on the forecourt. Way way too much money for it sorry.
Keep that.
The Thai restaurant next door however is brilliant! lol

Floyd 23 February 2018 09:19 AM

jaygsi, yes, that's exactly how it works. Some 'classic car' garage takes some fancy photos and 'talks up' the cars value. They may not get £10k but it could be close. All of a sudden the prices of cars at other garages do the same and the value rises. This is how it has worked for a long time now. How do you think a 205 has reached that price when you could have bought one at £1k a few years ago? Same goes for air cooled 911's - 15 years ago no one wanted them then a market was created for them and the price rose, but people have now been priced out of that market and are buying anything vaguely collect-able.

Be happy it's happening!

User 21721 23 February 2018 11:19 AM

A similar car that sold last year, although with a bit more service history.

jaygsi 23 February 2018 11:25 AM

As has been said others are priced at less than half that price. Why would I be happy about new Scooby owner buying an Impreza to find out he's bought a rot box. I have no plans to sell my Impreza so prices going up don't interest me. Unless it's £100,000.

To be honest if anything it's more than liking going to go against me as always looking to buy another Impreza. And Rotten ones are going for £10,000 there's no hope.

As for it pushing prices up, that's not quite true. It's what buyers will pay.

Townsend94 23 February 2018 04:53 PM

What would people value and Subaru gc8 import with a fully built 2.35 around 500bhp built by a reputable engine builder?
syvecs ecu, fully set up suspension wise 6 speed etc

just out of curiosity

jaygsi 23 February 2018 08:36 PM
