Hello , Police? KFC is shut, what are you doing about it?

What is wrong with our stupid society when people ring up the cops to complain that kfc is out of chicken, wtf !!! just how stupid are these people ? police have posted on twitter pleading with people to stop calling them about it so it's not an isolated instance .... i give up #facepalm #entitled #killmenow

An0n0m0us 21 February 2018 03:24 PM

:lol1: i'm sure we have some of the most stupid people on the planet living in Britain, it beggars belief anyone could be that thick.

It's like that stupid b!tch who left the abusive note on the ambulance saying they couldn't park there

Enititled Snowflakes.....

However the whole KFC\DHL debacle is breathtaking in its incompetence....

Chicken Delivery contract taken away from specialist food transportation/logistics company Bidvest and given to DHL (a non food specialist) who promptly find out they cant deliver!
This must be costing KFC millions all to save a few quid on a contract? Someone in the bid team needs a major kick up the arse.

Apparently KFC realised about 3 weeks ago they'd made a major boo boo with DHL, but it was too late - Bidvest lost 300 staff and closed a distribution depot because of it.....

Total and utter fcuk up with all involved...... and the Zero Hours employees in most branches..... what do you think they're getting paid for someone else's fcuk up?

Breathtaking really in this day and age!

Hahaha, absolutely agree, how thick are they managers at the top? I was saying to the wife other day, 'you know, I don't even think DHL specialise in food delivery, they don't even have refrigerators on vehicles so I don't know what's going on there'.
Will takes absolutely ages to recover from this

ted bass 21 February 2018 05:01 PM

Them managers are just as thick as them dumb arse people calling the police, stupid or wot:cuckoo:!

matty01 21 February 2018 05:03 PM

KFC "why not just get the royal mail to deliver it..."

public "'cos they dont have fridge vans you fool"

KFC "oh, oh i see, ...why is that a problem though...?"

public "don't you refrigerate your food? "

KFC " oh now i get it,er ...eh?"

pimmo2000 21 February 2018 08:43 PM

If I was a call operator, I'd politely ask for their name and address so we can send someone to help.

That someone will be whoever reads it on list posted publically, who will hopefully shove their phone up the caller's arse. If on the small chance it isn't a giant smartphone, it can be substituted with a house brick, side ways. :thumb:

As for KFC having no chicken? No big loss.

TheAngryFerret 22 February 2018 01:48 AM

My local kfc always has no chicken, business as usual for them :-P

hodgy0_2 22 February 2018 08:19 AM

mmm, just shows the importance of integrated supply chains and hubris off course

and the need to conform to those pesky regulations - DHL had not bothered to inform Rugby council that the warehouse was being used for cold storage of food - so it was shut down

Don't worry though. The half wit who made the decision and caused a whole company to go under because of it will get a nice end of year bonus and a pat on the back. If only the country had MORE executives with zero experience of actually running something.

Dr Hu 22 February 2018 09:00 AM

Hahaha - I read a Twitter post that said obviously someone was promoted beyond their level of incompetence :)

urban 22 February 2018 11:15 AM

I've had first hand experience of DHL undercutting a warehousing/logistics operation with a customer.
Its not feckin pretty, they decided to outsource warehouse/logistics, saving approximately 100 salaries (most went on to work for DHL).
Took nearly a year for the problems to fully stabilise, and it hurt other parts of the business as a result

The Joshua Tree 22 February 2018 07:23 PM

I think i've got the gist of it, to save me reading the whole thread, can someone just confirm that you can now dial 999 to order a KFC and the police will deliver it ?

that's right , make sure you use you're real name and address and let us know how that works out for you,ask 'em if they do roast pigs

Trucker Ted 23 February 2018 01:05 PM

The ironic thing is DHL has done more for fighting child obesity in one week than Jamie Oliver has in ten years :)

From 0:52...

Well, everything tastes like chicken, right?

tarmac terror 24 February 2018 07:48 PM

Didn't DHL snatch a contract away from Bidvest several years ago, servicing Burger King, and they made a mess of that operation in the same way.

A-level business studies case study in years to come I'm sure.

legb4rsk 25 February 2018 03:12 PM

Complete fake news as usual. DHL have actually delivered to all the outlets.
Unfortunately as per company policy they left a card stating the parcels have been at the shop next door & now no-one can find them.

joz8968 25 February 2018 04:11 PM

lol

What an utter bellend. I thought it was an offence to waste the time of the emergency services so why can't these fcukwits be cautioned for making calls like this? Perhaps they will then stop doing it
