Neutral position switch

If this was faulty what should the mapper look out for whilst it's getting looked at? What should the readings be or what does it show up as on the laptop whilst driving? Whilst changing gears etc?

I'm just curious as this could be another issue with the track car :wonder:

in Romraider you can test it, 1 or 0.

I’m presuming 0 is neutral and 1 is in gear? What does it show whilst driving? Should it stay in 1 whilst going through the gears or will it quickly go 0>1 when you go from say.....3rd to 4th? Is the switch only a problem when it shows 0 when in gear and accelerating?

Yeah thats the gist of it, so the ecu knows when a gear is selected.

this depends on what switch u have.

there are two diff part nos

each a diff polarity

so 1 can be neutral or in gear.

will find a link to my thread.

my avcs was disabled when mine was faulty so that was easy to see.

they can cause problems wull. my bug was mapped to 340 by andy f. he said the neutral switch was a bit iffy and might have made a bit more but i was happy enough with what she made. i just plan to change it for a new one when the clutch needs changing.
