So at some point will just have to take a leap of faith lol Options..... am i missing anything? EBC Godspeed Blackdiamond Tarox DBA ARK Mtec brembo are 2piece a bit over kill... even though they look awesome even seen these on ebay... they do look cool :) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-SUBAR...wAAOSw37tV~Fq1 what should I look at... what should I avoid? TIA Phil |
I use Performance Friction Z compound pads on my Scoobies and think they're brilliant. They do everything well - cold, stinking hot, low noise, low dust, kind on your discs and a great price too
Work really well with the Brembo calliper, but there's always 6-pot like AP Racing (which were fitted to my hatch) |
Where did you get your pads from?
What discs would you look at with them? |

One's for the Type R (new age Brembo calipers) were from Scoobyparts (£122) and I can't remember where the ones for the Forester STi came from I wouldn't like to recommend discs, but I do know Ian @ GS does a PF pad and bells discs 'set' might be worth a looksee |
Hi Phil
I'm using Brembo Sport pads in mine after talking the options through with Alyn at AS Performance. Currently still running on the original disks, but will need to replace them soon. The sport pads have more bite and I think give a better feel than the original fit pads. I use mine for road only as a daily drive and will definitely use the Sport pads again. I'll probably stick Brembo disks on when it's time, but will be interested in the other replies you get. One thing I will say is the Sport pads are slightly cleaner than the standard ones, but they do tend to leave some brownish staining that needs some effort to remove. Andrew |
PFC discs.. 2piece?
any pix of any on their cars? abre: are them brembo discs with a groove on them? can't beat a sexy looking disc :) |
I was probably going for the standard flat discs, but I'll see what the cost difference is before I finally decide. Suppose with standard I won't need to tell the insurance, but grooved would be seen as a performance upgrade and therefore an excuse to charge me more... :wonder:

I can't see a grooved disc and better pad would alter anything. If anything it stops you quicker.

Brembo sport pads, and plain Brembo discs for me; the discs were about the cheapest named brand disc going . Both have been fine on a daily
