Fuel pipe help, please
I am rebuilding a a classic sti v2
The steel fuel pipe that carries the fuel vapour from tank to engine (inside car under carpet on left) is completely missing and has been cut off after it exits the solenoid under the car Can I block this off, or leave to vent. Would it cause any issues Someone has removed the cannister itself under the bonnet so I don't see much point sourcing one and the pipes etc etc Thanks https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...ce2a82c457.jpg |
Whilst you can block off vapour pipe and cancel codes from purge solenoid on manifold it's not 100 percent. Sadly whilst romraider will allow you to cancel codes it's not the full picture. There are many routines and tables within ECU that are undocumented just opened a rom with an ida such as scoobyrom. These types of things bring the errors that make final fueling base not match actual afrs. Sadly this forum has turned into five year old kiddy playground **** so good luck in finding tech info.

Let it vent. Old cars used to but it is a rather early emissions control method lol. Stops extra hydro carbons entering the atmos.
Leave the purge valve plugged in and tie it out the way. Shoudnt have any lights then |
