Engine carbon cleaner
 

anyone used one of those engine carbon cleaner firms before ?. Are they any good ? Or no good for the engine ?

I had a terraclean on my blob, which MAY have improved the emissions, but I think that is down to the terraclean being an ultra refined fuel. Nothing short of physical cleaning really works. On the other hand, I then had the Injectors out and pro renovated at 80000 miles, and the difference was night and day. Injectors are just as important as plugs, but who cleans them after 50000 miles?

I’ve heard good and bad reports about a carbon engine clean. engines failing etc etc but on paper it sounds like a good thing to have done 🤔

I had the terraclean on my blob sti before my unseated valves were diagnosed,
i thought it felt smoother but it was probably all in my head.

On a side note when Simon at chevron broke down my block he did actually comment at how clean it was inside :lol1:

With that in mind it must do something good, unless it was the million litres of v power i poured into it :facepalm2:
