wheel clearance
 

I have just bought a set of alloys so to clear my 4 pots as the old wheels foul on the callipers. Just did a test fit and the new ones rub on the bottoms of the struts
The new ones have 235 45 17 tyres and the old ones are 215 45's. Is is just a case of swapping the tyres over. Although the new rims do seem a little wider but can't see a size. The old ones are 17x7. the car has been lowered, would this affect it?. Never known such a ball ache to fit brakes.

235's are too big,I run 215/45 17 on an 8 inch rim on a classic..no rubbing what so ever!!

Thanks for that, was hoping that might be the case. From what i can make out the wheels are 17x7s. I take that to be 7inches. So if thats the case they should be fine with my 215's

Yes..7 inches wide....they'll fit on there ok.
