Well after talking to my wife and her telling me to stop being a fanny, I've decided to carry on with the project.
I am aiming to get it fired up by next weekend, apparently it ran fine before it was parked up so we shall see. Found some proper fuel rail adapters and fittings for the parallel fuel mod, I would rather be safe than sorry when it comes to fuel and fire. (I once set my kitchen on fire with brake cleaner) Manifold painted wrinkle black and gave the engine bay a tickle with the jet wash. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...b036403d85.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...728d183628.jpg |
Keep up the good work mate

Anyone recommended these. Seem popular on other forums but not here.

Can anyone help with what this probe is, looks more like a temp sender and no plug
Should I have 2 probes or one, also can only find a plug for one probe. Thanks |

looks like a modified version of a exhaust temp sensor . Just blank it off if the plug is missing
Should I have 2 standard lambdas or 1. |
Decided on some godspeed kevlar pads,

Thinking about it that's where your lambda sensor lives
|
I have one lambda which runs down the front of the cambelt cover on the drivers side.
As I've removed the a/c system can I run one fan or does the engine use both fans? |
What year is your car
|
95
|
Strange 🤔 is it the original exhaust manifold? I'm sure they should have only one sensor and it should be on the down pipe.
|
* MY93-96 'phase 1' cars have the lambda in the side of the manifold, drivers side. [Which is pathetic, as it's upstream to the turbo! So should it break up (albeit unlikely) then the debris gets hoovered up the up-pipe and through the turbine housing/wheel].
Anyway, if you have the original manifold/heatshields still in place, you should see it poking proud of the heatshield. You just need to get on your hands and knees and take a peek lol * MY97/98 'phase 1.5' and MY99/00 'phase 2' have the lambda in somewhere near the top of the downpipe, driver side. IIRC. |

https://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Produ...E&gclsrc=aw.ds Have a look at Fuel Lab or Aeromotive FPR's. Bit more expensive but seem to be the tried and tested method on most Subaru's. |
I have had a Fuelab Mini on my car since Nov. 2011. No issues.
I love the little sucker lol |

this has the makings of another scoobynet epic thread...I'm going to get a lot of hate for this but i don't like the dash... It looks like a really nice quality job but personally i think a glossy finish makes it look cheap and nasty..rather like shiny leather of vinyl seats...Personally i'd go over it again with a matt clear coat.
|
Well things are finally looking, up after being made redundant in January and the following job ended up me loosing money things are on the turn.
Impreza is now running and driving Insurance quote is third party fire and theft . :thumb: https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...06fcb368ff.png |

I am going to compare the dash with an original at weekend. I always fancied the flocked dashes but think it's a bit too standard for that |

My first proper go at spraying. Had a few goes before when other people have been doing a bit.
Really pleased with the finish, 2k lacquer to go on tomorrow night. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...9d9d96938d.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...704482e740.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...17b9622888.jpg |
