How large a thumb drive can my TV support?
Samsung ue50f6400akxxu.
It is smart and has usb input. The eldest has a 64gb stick he wants to put a boxed set on for his mum, but the guy at Currys warned him to find out if the TV will support something that large before opening the packagaing. I've tried Google and Samsung....no answers. (Samsung don't surprise me...they wouldn't even commit that one of their TV's would work in France...so I bought an LG for there!) Anyone advise? TIA |
have a read here, best info i could find : https://www.manualshelf.com/manual/s.../page-141.html doesnt really help much but the fact you can use external usb hard drives kinda suggests it can access fairly large drives.

It will be a question of 'can it provide the power' :: I suspect a 64gb stick will be fine ; a hard drive is a different matter (it may need its own power supply)

64 gig usb flash drive will play no bother as will a 4tb usb hard drive. All working on my LG tv and Samsung tv, but they won’t play h265 files.
