Thoughts on Anti-lag on streetcar

Just wondering what people's thought are on anti lag. Had my At 2001 (Bug) jap import Sti apples on Tuesday put launch & als on mostly to help with potential resale in future.

Thanks :top:

why on earth would it help with resale? it would do the opposite in my opinion, more likely to have been revved and constantly used.

it is pretty much pointless on a run of the mill road car, no real performance increase and mainly just a load of noise that probably makes you look like a plonker, will just attract unnecessary attention. Had it on an old car and never used it.

My mate has it mapped into his Syvecs on an STi 7, sounds crap and only used it when the idle control valve packed up as it kept the car running, other than that it is a naf gimmick.

Until you need to remove them and find they are welded on and the paint comes off with them :D

I'm sure you'll be really popular with the 14 year olds down maccys. Theres a guy round my way, must be nearly 50 with a blob sti that drives everywhere with it popping and farting. His exhaust is ridiculously loud and I dont think he understands what mechanical sympathy means. Dont be that guy.

I only use mine quickly on and off on the over run on the rare occasion to scare old ladies,

It's also not really anti-lag unless your making real boost off throttle

I have an EGT sensor in my manifold collector and what i see on there is enough to stop me using it.

Mine pops and bangs all by itself when I slow down and change down gears, I do not have antilag or anything else setup so no idea why it does it.

Try resting you foot lightly on the accelerator while on about 2400ish revs driving then see what it does and report back :D
but make sure it’s all up to temp before playing with it tho :thumb:

Well thanks for all the reply's, I'm not really into pops n bangs so will never get used. Easy to pop in to Evo tune to deactivate it.
