iMac Pro

Wish I had a need for one of these, but can't justify it.

https://forums.appleinsider.com/discussion/200477

Bit of a bargain though.

JackClark 13 December 2017 12:01 PM

They already did in the first link, a big problem is you can't run 5k on Windows 10 so you can't match it.

It's the same case as my 5k iMac, it's very stable.... and stunning.

why do you need to? lol

what exactly will you see more on 5k that you wouldn't on 4k? lol

JackClark 13 December 2017 08:49 PM

You’ll see 1k more. I can edit 4K video full res and have controls on screen, I don’t but I could. Photos look awesome. I mean come on why not 800*600 was fine back in the day.

JackClark 13 December 2017 08:53 PM

Really old article but sums it up. https://gizmodo.com/imac-with-retina...ixe-1652463922

Tidgy 14 December 2017 08:55 AM

Jack you really do need to update your out of date info,

windows 10 supports 8k, the only limit is a minimum output lol, A 1080ti will output 8k as well.

So apple's behind yet again lol

JackClark 14 December 2017 08:58 AM

Post a link.

Tidgy 14 December 2017 09:03 AM

what that windows does 8k? or that the TI will output 8k?

Tidgy 14 December 2017 09:11 AM

hey jack,

can you get a spec like this from crapple?

https://www.scan.co.uk/3xs/configura...ve-nle-8k-plus

JackClark 14 December 2017 09:24 AM

And none of those show that Windows supports 8k, because it doesn't.

JackClark 14 December 2017 09:26 AM

I should add that this is a job I did last year, it's 10k video, windows didn't display it.

could be any number of reasons from setup to hardware and you should know that jack.

Your now into the realms of full height display screen and you wont get that out of a run of the mill machine will you.

JackClark 14 December 2017 09:38 AM

You have no idea what you're talking about, just spouting irrelevant rubbish. The servers to run that set up were £250,000 and still windows couldn't display the content in it's original resolution, now that's not a bad thing, why should it, but if you're going to claim it can you better be able to back it up.

Tidgy 14 December 2017 09:41 AM

jack since when did we go onto commercial systems?

Lets simplify it, can a imac do 8k?

It can process 8k and display at 5k. Can Windows display 5k? I've asked for a link proving it can - Windows support page should do - and you can't provide it.

'But Microsoft's Windows 10 is ready for 8K, and the OS is capable of scaling to the resolution. Users must ensure they have the right GPU and the latest drivers that scale beyond the 4K resolution.'

your scraping at excuses now jack lol

JackClark 14 December 2017 10:36 AM

I guess you missed this bit "The OS is capable of scaling to the resolution. Users must ensure they have the right GPU and the latest drivers that scale beyond the 4K resolution."

SCALE. I don't need an excuse, it's you who's trying to piss on bonfires and failing.

don't confuse signal output with physical display jack.

My iMac is 5k native resolution and you have no idea what you’re talking about. You’re trolling at best.

LOL “KitGuru Says: I have yet to install the new Windows 10 update but I’m sure it will hit my machine soon enough. If any of you are updating, then be sure to grab the latest GPU drivers too.”

Want to know why.... because it didn’t happen.

Tidgy 14 December 2017 01:22 PM

OK, lets pretend it is, what resolution are you running? Obviously as 5k is outdated so you'll be running 6, 7, 8 or more, what is it?

And yes, my iMac is outdated it's a 2015/16 model that I bought refurbished, fits my needs perfectly, as I said at the beginning of this thread, which you probably didn't read I wish I had a need for an iMac Pro, it's a bargain for what it's capable of.

Tidgy 14 December 2017 02:12 PM

I'm sure you have a lovely 'rig' and can shoot virtual people with skills I could never master whilst chatting with your 'friends' about "Crapple". Enjoy your life Tidgy, don't stoop to the depths of Custard it won't help you in the real world.
