Exhaust/Headers Help (2005 Impreza GX)
 

I have been trying to research what will make my car sound better but everyone says you wont get the famous 'burble' without getting unequal length headers. So i tried to find some but they are all only for wrx/sti models not for 2.0gx's, if anyone knows any headers that will fit my car or if that i need to modify other parts to make them fit could they please help. Links of products would be awesome or just names of them.

Subaru WRX/STis burble because they have unequal length headers.

They have unequal length headers because they are turbocharged and the turbo sits to one side of the engine, meaning the header on the side which has the turbo mounted is shorter than the other side. Hence they are unequal.

A GX does not have a turbo, so both headers are equal length.

My daily driver is a non turbo. It's completely standard car, but I have tried the unequal exhaust manifold as I wanted to see if it would give the boxer rumble. It does, and sounds nice. I was planning on putting a standard one back on though as it's just wanted to try it out.
