Hawkeye 06 STi Suspension Advice

Hi All,

I have a Hawkeye 06 Sti with Prodrive package. I need to replace the shocks and springs.

From my understanding, the Prodrive kit lowered the car by 50mm (Eibach springs?) and had slightly different shocks to standard.

I'm thinking about putting the car back to standard, to bring the height back up but unsure what to use, where to go for the work etc.

I like a fast road driving experience but want to keep my fillings as most of my driving is 'spirited' B roads.

If anyone could offer some advice and possibly even a few contacts to help me out, I'd very much appreciate it :)

I'm in the Bedford area, so any contacts near would be fab!

Thanks in advance

Dave

There is the Prodrive Performance Package which is a remap with some exhaust/hose changes
http://imdomino.imgroup.co.uk/IMGGB/...E/SACC2612.jpghttp://imdomino.imgroup.co.uk/imggb/...0STi%20PPP.pdf

and then there is a Prodrive spring upgrade - Prodrive spring kit, supplied as a set of four springs and replacement front bump stops, which lower the ride height by approx 25mm - no replacement struts involved.

Are you sure what is actually fitted??

I was too slow

I don't think the '06 Prodrive package included suspension?

www.subaruclub.net/foorum_pics/data/06MY-STI-PPP.pdf

There was a Prodrive red 05 sti spring set S05/D5/001 - Compared to a stock STI they were 18mm lower at the front and 8mm lower at the rear.

According to Subaru http://imdomino.imgroup.co.uk/IMGGB/WWW/Subaru_Accessories.nsf/WebInternetAccessories?OpenView&model=Impreza%20WR X%20STI%20-%3E%202006MY%20to%202007MY&type=Exterior%20and%20S tyling

The 05 spring kit is the same for 06 and 07 (last but one item in above list)

I'm considering the Pedders package in the new year.

This is the kit for your year ;)

aside from the coilover route the Pedders seem a good option.
If you've decided what you want and got the parts then TTS Roadsport in Kempston would fit and set up. They are Audi specialists but do a good job. Just have a chat with them before ordering parts though.
Heard good reports of Carnetix, Melton Mowbray. A long way off but you would get more advice there.

got one of the first widetrack pedders on my hawk STI Limited, pretty impressed, firmer ride but not back breaking hard.

Any chance of a side-on pic? Or/and, wheel centre up to the metal arch measurements - with fuel level, at the time of measurement.

I've had the pedders for over a year on a non widetrack and they've been excellent firm but comfortable, coming from bc coilovers they were a massive improvement

The Prodrive RB320, did it differently.

More positive rake = less understeer, without resorting to big bars (The rb320 had an optional 21mm, 2-way adjustable rear bar - road setting/track day setting):

RB320 suspension.
