bought syma s032 couple years back , just bit indoor messing over xmas . But the controller / rc connection was poor so through controller away thinking to upgrade it somehow , but it seems imposs to get one

So iv gone for V922 , for 30 quid ebay - seems redic cheap - so expecting fake and or incomplete

Is this decent upgrade / is there better inside / ouside possiblity ?

Seems tough though

The range is not to good because the antenna's aren't tuned properly.

I had the same problem with my drone, i cured it by soldering a genuine 2.4ghz antenna from a WiFi router to the transmitter and receiver. Huge improvement.

Also they are very prone to interference from other noise on the 2.4ghz frequency in residential areas.

If you live in a built up area, you will lose control of it at any more than 20 meters. Open area range could be up to 50-80 meters.

I've got WLToys V922 - had it for a couple of years - they are great - and a major upgrade from the single/2 channel stuff - takes a bit of thinking of the controls, they are fast too, you can get in a heap of trouble very quickly in most rooms - hahahaha

Quite robust - I seem to break the tiny pivot pins off the collective - usually by bouncing it off the ceiling! but the shafts/blades are very cheaply available.

it arrived with One rotor arm pin unthreaded ( no thread at all ) , fortunately theres a bag of spares with it

As you say it back to square one trying to fly it haha , i do wonder whether the gyros are right ...

hardly got it off the ground but a foot in the air seems a lot more stable than drifting diagonal on the ground . Just dont have the space inside though

other shops are selling the setup / box for twice as much
