Limit of stock 6spd STI clutch
What's the general consensus on the torque limits of a stock 6spd clutch?
The car in question is a 2003 blobeye Spec-C. Not sure if there's any differences between model years regarding the clutch. |
Based on Exedy Figures...Around 280/300 lb/ft.SJ.

My O.E 6 speed clutch was finished on just TSL 333 upgrade and my STI was 1 year old at the time;) I was not launching my car one bit just normal fast road driving....500+ horse power you will have to teach me that trick:lol1:,Driving miss daisy comes to mind:D:thumb:.SJ.
had plenty of scoobs over the years and always found the 6 speed clutch to be a good bit of kit and most people swap it out far to early ,,and had plenty of 400+ scoobs running it for ages just fine so I think we will just have to agree to disagree on this one :thumb: |
Fair play to you dom, thats a good achievement:thumb:.SJ.

Think it may be the launches that shorten the life of the clutch. :thumb:
