Google Chrome constantly crashing in windows 10, any ideas ?
I'm using Windows 10, i'm running Chrome 64 bit, it's constantly crashing, freezing and lagging.
I've done all the usual steps so far like to uninstall and reinstall, i've turned off hardware acceleration, ive tried running it with no plug ins where it's just the bare bones and yet the thing is constantly crashing, freezing and lagging. Ebay has been the worse site for it doing it. The build is Version 62.0.3202.94 (Official Build) (64-bit) Any ideas other than to bin Chrome and use something else ? |
Is Flashplayer upto date? Can't think of anything else other than memory issues as Chrome has become a hogger like Firefox which incidentally has now been updated to a new version called Quantum and it runs very fast again like when it was first developed.
I've jumped ship from Chrome back to Firefox because of the performance improvements. |
looks like it is a known problem

It seems to stop the lagging and freezing upto now which is great, so thanks for that. Only prob now is a few of my extensions won't work with it like Kaspersky etc. |
sounds like its one of the addons causing the problem then.

It wasn't an add-on causing the previous problems as i did a fresh install of google twice, and ran it without any add-ons or extensions and it still lagged and crashed. It's the stock version of Chrome that doesn't work well with Windows 10 as other people have had the same issues, this version of Chrome i've just put on is called Canary which i think is a semi beta type of Chrome browser which is why it may not recognise some extensions as it's not a fully fledged version of Chrome yet.

Might be a ram issue.
