2002 Bugeye Wagon Morette Light Query

Hi,

Have just taken off the drivers side light cover on my car and found this
bulb which sits behind the cover. Tried removing the bulb and it just disintegrated. Just wondering if anyone knows what this bulb is for and how to remove it? It seems a bit bizarre to have a bulb hidden behind the cover....

Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion but the sidelights are housed within the main beam reflector. This bulb is only on one side and is hidden behind the light cover....... Bizarre....

same thing here. the bulb has no use, just hangs there.

the morettes coming with 2002 models must have been such a quick bodge for subaru to shift the ugly bugeyes.

i have rewired the morettes on mine about 3 times over 11 years its a terrible setup, but looks really really good.

Yes not a great bit of wiring but the lights seem to work pretty well. I've had to change the relays on mine.
