Best wax? Soft fusso?

Just pondering what is a good protection wax. I have been getting chips and scratches on my mica black STI and think it might be not having had a good wax since last owner had a respray and mabey my over wash wax has stripped it. A friend said that dark soft fusso is the dogs bollox.

I've used a whole bunch of different waxes on mine, but the best I've used by far is an "autobrite" product called " obsession wax"
£50 for a 250g tub, but you pay for what you get. Smells dam good too!

As for polish before the wax, I've found the "poor boys, Blackhole polish" to cover a lot of swirl marks and really does give a mirror like finish.

Pictures of my standard boot lid, factory paint.
(Off the car because I bought another boot for a S202 wing to go on.)

Prep is the key, any wax over a decent surface will do, sorry if that sounds daft but it is true,
after that it is down to owners preference, some like certain ones for the damn smell,
if it goes on easy and comes off easy I`m happy,
The price tag of some is eye watering, so the one mentioned isnt a daft price,
But I have never had a issue with the likes of a Collinite 915 if honest.

I only ever use auto finesse on mine and love everything they sell.

I always use Bilt Hamber double speed wax and its great but as said already it all depends on the surface you are applying it to.

I use collinite 476s, cheap and long lasting wax
What to use to get mirror finish on silver car?

I used to use Collinite 476 very happy with the results.

Blackhole isn't a polish, it's a glaze. It's a good glaze and I use it but it's not polish.

Polish should be used to clean and refine the surface and minimise swirl marks. Glaze goes on over the top of this as it contains fillers. Fillers do exactly what you would imagine, they temporarily fill in very light scratches/swirl marks making the paint look nicer, but this doesn't last very long. If you put a good wax over the top then that will help.

Sorry to sound a nerd.
