Fitted a replacement electric window motor in my drivers door (Thanks MB Developments).
Only after it stopped working did I realize just how much I hate driving without having my window open. |
Nothing.

Not today, but this whole week ive been collecting service parts.
Oil and filter and sump washer Diff oil and washer Gearbox oil and washer Spark plugs Brake fluid Pollen filter fuel filter Anti-freeze change washer fluid top up Last night i removed the spoiler to check for the common rust around the boot lid to spoiler join. Now to rust proof and spray the boot lid. Clean the underside of the spoiler and re-fit. After painting im getting my map looked at. Probably get the service done first even though its not needed as my car had its last service 3k miles ago |
Put some winter boots on it.
|
Put in mat clips to keep the foot mat in place, which are excellent for £2.50 and hold the mat firmly in place. Was driving me nuts constantly putting the thing back in place.

Got it out in the daylight for the first time

Bit of prep on the Bug for winter. 4 new tyres, fluids, coilovers, new seals on rear diff as they can take a beating in winter, cam belt/tensioner, water pump etc. New rocker cover gaskets & RCM half moons, thermostat. Went in yesterday, finished later on today, technically though I’ve not done it! I’ve just paid to have it done 😂. Ready for snow though so best not be disappointed this year!!!!!

https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/CAR-MAT-CAR...EAAOSwa-dWi7o0 You'll have to put 2 wholes in your mat if it doesn't have a pre made fix point, but the clips are sound and work really well for the money. |

Thanks both. I have the version Don shows on the left (old) but it doesn't hold the mat very well. I still have to move it back on to the clip everytime I get in the car!

What type of finish? Did you paint them yourself?

https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...50c1d1c6f2.jpg Hi. Yes did them myself. As they are aluminium. I used 3 coats of etch primer, then used this red in VHT. Clear VHT lacquer is yet to be applied once I paint the AP logo in white. All seals ad pistons are being replaced. Are you thinking of doing yours ? Got the alloys refurbished too. Will compliment the Calipers nicely. Clear your inbox dude |

Have like 500 messages in my inbox. Lol. Will need to renew my subscription. Yes I had my wheels powder coated for £300. Had one redone as had minor dust particle on the spoke. I'm quite fussy. 😂
Also genuine new centre caps. Was thinking you could paint my calipers. Help you pay for the club subscription :D |

Will be a tad more than a years subscription if I was to do your Calipers. Lol. Got some VHT paint here to sell if you want to have a crack yourself. Bought one too many. Same as this paint being used in this video
