Subaru Impreza wagon Sti import

Very rare numbered version 1 sti, which it has a plate near the suspension turret, very low build number of 3/200 with a tuners signature in the engine bay.

176k km . Mix of miles and kilometres, works out to around 120k miles - 94 plate
Have spent a fair amout of money getting it mechanically sorted. Bought it in 2015 as a bit of a project for myself as I have always wanted an Impreza since I was young and I finally managed to purchase just what Iv always wanted.

In that time I have

Replaced the cambelt, water pump with all new tensioners, came from import car parts, have done around 1800 miles since replacing
Replaced all of the water pipe hoses whilst I was there with genuine parts
Replaced the oil and filter twice since iv been driving it to keep it fresh, as mentioned above have only done around 1800 miles in it since putting it back on the road, only really gets used occasionally at the weekends and on the odd trip to work and back if the weather is nice.
Other work includes

New genuine forge dv
New hks cone filter
Replaced the power steering pump and modified the later reservoir to suit as the original round ones were renowned for leaking hence replacing it
Replaced the intercooler hard pipe to the turbo as old one was cracked and was leaking at the intercooler.
Replaced various boost hoses
Removed the throttle body as I thought it could do with a good clean out, refitted with new gasket
Replaced the iacv
Upgraded the front brakes with the later 4 pots with completely overhauled calipers from Godspeed. New seals with stainless pistons along with new bleed nipples mated with their Kevlar pads and fish hook disks.
Stripped the rear callipers myself whilst I was there and refitted with stainless pistons and all new seals finished off with all new braided brake pipes again all from Godspeed.
Full 3" exhaust - came with it, unknown make
New Harvey smith heat wrapped trick uppipe fitted
New drivers side rocker cover gasket fitted
Gearbox and all diff oils replaced around 500 miles ago
New battery
Has a thatcham cat 1 alarm/immobiliser with certification
Recently refurbished 17" speedline turinis with all really good tread
Boost gauge
Taxed and motd

Now the bad parts. It is 23 years old after all
The interior is clean but the seats could probably do with a good wet vac, drivers seat base has slight wear, bolster is good though
The last thing that really needs doing is the bodywork. It's not in bad condition but it does need a drivers side rear arch doing. Common problem on these and if I get the right price I'll throw in a pair of rear arch replacement panels, these are over £100 on their own, All the others are fine. Just a light rust patch on the passenger rear. Would grind out easily enough. Fronts are fine. Just odd surface rust. Have replaced the drivers side with a good wing. Not quite the right colour but pretty close. Have another front wing for the other side I was considering replaced but didn't get round to, There is a couple of patches of rust around the windscreen and the drivers side pillar. Probably the worst scab there but could easily be sorted. It did have decals on it and where they have been on the roof it's discoloured, could do with a good machine polish. Used to have wind deflectors also and around the windows its a bit scuffed where I had to get the old glue off. Was a nightmare but I think iv done a pretty good job tbh. People who know will know how much of a nightmare it is! The rear spats have been removed. I have them but not had time to put them back on, again another little job that won't take that long to do. All in all, I think to make it absolutely perfect it could do with a blow over but with my circumstances taking quite a turn I don't have the time anymore to finish it off.
Am gutted as it's been my dream car to own and I have loved every minute of it. Iv lovingly looked after it as I'm an enthusiast and wanted it to be mechanically perfect before I took it out, so it's always been warmed up properly before driving and cooled down at the end of a drive. Always run on v power, never been on a track or drag strip. Done a few long journeys to see family etc and has been spot on. The clutch has been replaced with a exedy pink Item by the previous owner, A pleasure to drive with plenty of power on tap. If I wasn’t getting married I wouldn’t be getting rid of it.

The price - £3500

Hard to gauge these things as low numbers don’t come up that often but with the things that need sorting I’ll be reasonable with taking offers. Any advice greatly received and can answer any questions.

Price drop - £3,100

Ok last price drop before I decide to just keep it. £2,700, at this price it won’t come on the speedlines. Will come on standard wheels, but a deal could be made with the speedlines otherwise.

The problem with these is the visible rust on the rear arches is usually just the start of it. Only by removing all the boot interior trim can you get a good look at the rear suspension turrets. These can often be rotten all the way through. My advice for selling this would be to strip all that back and show the true condition of the rear problem areas.

Urs6tom - yeah they usually do go pretty bad there but I know this car and I know it’s just because the arches were rolled and they got water in between and underneath the paint but I will get pictures so people do know that it’s not too serious. Thanks for the input though. Struggling to see why it’s not shifting tbh. Wrong time of year maybe
