Queries: Suspension, Gearbox...

Evening guys hope your all well, have some following queries open for advice and experiences, recently back from Bob Rawle and after a remap and a revisit for a tweak car has made 341bhp with 352ft

Car is currently on 18s with standard suspension and rubs even with bends, please advise for suspension set ups, I have a new age rear sub frame, new lower arms, lateral arms, trailing arms, wishbones, arbs, diff cradle, prop guard all awaiting powder coating and rebushing the lot.

I have the 4.44 sti box and diff, but with the ever lasting strive for more power, going forward I was thinking of fitting them reinforcement plates or blast plates I'm unsure of what the exact name for them is, does anyone else have these and what powers are we running on our 5 speeds.

Generally the car is running like a dream very happy with Bobs service he's provided, car was mapped 3 weeks ago but I forgot to take my swrd 3 port bs so he kindly said if I bring it back to him he would tweak it for me, which was done Monday just gone, as always any help and advice welcome regards aaron.

Is it rubbing front and rear?
What wheel width and et
What tyres and size?
Are the wheel arches pulled/rolled?

Yes mate front and rear, camber and other suspension aspects are completely standard, as for wheel properties, theyr bbs ch, 8J, 225/40/18, ET 35:thumb:
Thanks as always

You'll have to roll and pull the arches and use a less compliant suspension - coilovers. Maybe adjustable camber plates as well.

With a compliant suspension, no arch work and sensible camber (1deg30-45mins front, 1deg rear) I work on 205-215 (225 is sometimes OK, depends on the tyre) 7-7.5j 53-48et

I may just get a set of nice 17s then, eventually I would like the car to handle pretty well, you see when the arches are rolled or pulled they wouldn't need painting after, the outside stays the same dosnt it? I would prefer not to do any arch work if I could help it, was wondering if you'd know what suspension I could go for that would help, money isn't too much of an issue within reason, now my power and brakes boxes are pretty much ticked, suspension and handling mods are on the agenda, thanks

You could use 7.5 x18 et48 with a 215/40 tyre (as @MattyB1983 below). Your 225/40 might clear.

I'm after best fast road set up with maybe a track day or two in mind but not really looking to be competitive, main thing is to stop the rubbing on the 18s for now mind.

As previously mentioned, your current et35 wheels will require pulling/rolling the arches, coilovers - and, most likely, adjustable camber plates, front and rear.

The more compliant set-up's I've suggested, will clear 18's - if you must have 18's. Regardless of the wheel diameter, I'd suggest Whiteline kca335 front, offset, top mounts Subaru Impreza (GC, GF) - Whiteline Front Strut mount (offset bearing) - Inc. WRX, STi (MY94-00) - Suspension - Subaru Impreza - Subaru - Shop By Car
and
Subaru Impreza WRX RA & STI RA 92-00 Genuine Rear Top Strut Mounts at the rear.

If you want to use your current 225/40 18 tyres, on a 7.5 et53-48 wheel, you'll have to try them for rubbing - tyres rarely measure the width on the sidewall.

The P11L springs, 194lb/in 157lb/in, will work with all the struts above.
The WR15R/T springs, 230lb/in 200lb/in, are too stiff for Excel-g's.
