Good job, keep up the good work ! Love a standard classic and even more so in black.

Thanks RAF1,

I'm nearly finished now. Spent a few hours working on the car on Boxing Day and got her off the axle stands.

Interior is nearly sorted, although i'm not sure about the arm rest as it doesn't feel like a good snug fit. Still need new pedals and a stereo fitting. I think i might go OEM Subaru for the stereo, if I can find the one I want.

Brakes and suspension feel great. Noticeable difference on the body roll, and the 2/1 pots are not going to be missed. Tried fitting the brake stopper, but wasn't sure on how it should be mounted. Think i'll do some research in this forum, hopefully somebody will have posted pics. The standard 16's need to be refurbished before I put them on.

I need a pair of standard side lights as mine are cracked. Using these amber ones temporarily for now. Other than that, i'm pretty happy. I wasn't a fan of these 17" wheels originally, but looking at them now, they have grown on me a little.

Definitely chuffed with the outcome so far.

Good work!
The interior looks almost new.
As for the brake stopper, I've only ever fitted one to a newage. If its the same then basically the long part uses the boost solenoid bracket holes on the driver's side suspension mount. Then the little piece goes against two holes that are at about 45 degrees on the same mount and point at the engine this is then bolted to the big piece to help brace it.
At the end of the long bit a bolt goes through it and that braces against the brake master cylinder.

Thanks Stuart. It seems pretty obvious now that I've been told. I was clearly in a hurry and not focusing...:freak3:
All sorted now. Cheers.
I reckon I need to get the brackets painted black. The blue stands out way too much for my liking.

Going for a proper drive tomorrow, put it all to the test. :D

looks great now, bar the huge uk number plate lol

Ravolouso 01 January 2018 08:48 PM

Number plates are coming this week. that Square plate is heading straight for the bin.
Stock wheels are on, so that's me done for now. The stock exhaust will go on later in the year. Going to enjoy the fart cannon for now, until i go deaf.
