Sportscat or decat decisions?

Now that I have removed my old downpipe and officially labelled it as fcuked I have a few options, within my budget, going forwards and would appreciate your opinions.

I have a 2004 WRX, I am not sure what size or type the rear pipe and back box are but the standard midpipe fit to it with an oem donut gasket so I am assuming 2.5"? It also has a ebay decat uppipe with flexi joint (installed by previous owner). Asides from these I assume it is standard.

1. New Japspeed decat downpipe and second hand sti uppipe (are sti headers required with the upgrade?).

2. Second hand sportscat downpipe (prodrive if I can find one? Not sure how much these go for) and second hand sti uppipe.

3. New Japspeed sportscat (200 cell) downpipe and keep my ebay decat uppipe until funds allow purchase of the uppipe.

Obviously a remap will have to follow dependant on what I choose. I'm not worried about huge gains but would like a nice reliable upgrade over standard.

Definitely get 2nd hand sti uppipe. Breakers on here.
then up too you wether decat or not.
decat won't pass mot sports cat should.
if you decat then expect to either change downpipe back to catted on mot day or find a friendly mot tester.

would a sti up-pipe be better or cheaper than a harvey trick pipe?
