In this case its a fresh import.............. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...ff9d25b01e.jpg so its just a spray on job thank goodness. |
Wow nice and clean, new car?
|
Is it clear mate and how much
|
the waxoyl in a tin you paint brush on appears much thicker than a spray and therefore maybe more protective than a spray ? , i only spray it if i can’t get a brush there , i’ve been doing mine for the last 7 years
|
Ok thanks mate mine been in country a year now and still looks really good , but it needs protecting do you take anything off like exhaust etc or avoid spraying anything
|
i have left virtually every thing on , if i catch the exhaust i just wipe it off , the rear bumper on my fsti i spray and brush in there , it’s worth taking off the plastic trim under the engine sump so you can treat around there , arches front and rear get a good glob of the stuff , the only bits i take off are wheels so i can do the wheel arches , worth covering brake pipes etc , i check my sealent every year but don’t often have to do any thing , main point is pick a period of dry days to do it , mine is an 2004 with around 155 k miles on it it’s still very clean underneath , i bought an 05 fsti too which has been in the uk for less time and the older one is in a better state , don’t forget jacking points they are prone to rusting as paint gets rubbed off , you can buy rubber jacking bushes/puks on ebay for around 5£ or so

brown...... for inside chassis/box sections £150.00 but i use it on both cars. as they are imports and keepers i think its worth it |
I use the Bilt Hamber products on my import Legacy, in fact on the last two imports.
If I find any rust I paint on some Hydrate 80 first then follow up with the various Dynax waxes. Cheaper than a garage and just as good. https://www.bilthamber.com/ :thumb: |

It is very clean and want to keep it that way so I am trying to make an informed decision on what to do. |
