As you may or may not be aware Magnex exhausts have a large back order problem at the moment.

I have just been informed by one of there dealers that this is due to them going into receivership.

Good luck if you have anything on order !!!!!!!

There was a rumour like this ages ago, turned out to be the wrong company.

Please be aware that this has NOT been confirmed by anyone at Magnex in the form of a press release and as such is pure speculation and hearsay.

These things can get out of control and damage the company and it's suppliers.

Scott.T 14 June 2002 10:12 AM

Only reporting what a 'Magnex' dealer said after I questioned them about back order issue's.

i.e if they didn't have it in stock, I wasn't going to place an order.

Neil Smalley 14 June 2002 10:36 AM

And dealers know everything?

Seriously, and i'm not getting at you. Wait for an official annoucement if it's true. IF magnex are having trouble getting orders then the last thing they need are people bailing out just because a dealers says so. Rumours like this can mean the life or death of a company.

No association with Magnex etc..

Press release would come from receivers rather than company - though even if company X goes into receivership it doesn't mean they'll be shut down (it can mean they are going to default on a debt payment etc)

Another moderator has spoken to another Magnex dealer and they know nothing about it.

I'm locking this thread until this rumour is confirmed, as it could well cause damage to magnex and the companies who it supplies.
